Best Leash Ever!Aug 13, 2007
By Jess I love this leash. It is small enough to fit in your hand, the control is unbelievable and the loop that goes around your wrist makes it so easy to walk your dog because you can still use your hand if needed. The other retractable leashes are big and bulky, this one seems like you are not even holding it. I am buying another one for my other dog since this one was a gift. Highly recommended!!!!

Buyer Beware!!!Jun 11, 2010
By Robyn T. Smith I bought this leas for my 14 pound Poodle cross. I purchased one for a dog larger than him, as retractable leashes make me wary.
I loved the leash at the start. The design is awesome.
About a month after I bought it, my dog saw a squirrel across the road. He didn't hit the end of the leash hard, but he was pulling (as much as a dog his size could). After no more than 5 seconds, the line snapped. My dog ran across 4 lanes of traffic immediately. I was lucky he was not struck and killed due to this defective product.
Planet Dog was contacted, and never got back to me. Thanks a lot.

Planet Dog LeadNov 10, 2007

Do you hate holding onto that plastic box with the retractable lead when you take your dog for a walk? Me, too! So I got this wonderful lead that has a soft strap for your wrist that allows you to have your hands free. I especially love this lead when I am pushing a stroller and taking the dog for a walk at the same time. It works great and the release/hold button is large and easy to use. I love this!

Great leash but not so durableFeb 06, 2008
By J. Feira This is a great leash for several reasons:
* You can hold the leash in so many different ways - you can hold the plastic part in your hand, hold the loop in your hand, or just put the loop around your wrist
* The leash is very comfortable - the locking switch is easy to use, and overall the leash feels very ergonomic
* The leash is compact - easy to put in your pocket
However, I hate to say that the leash broke within the first week I had it. The leash fully extended and will no longer retract. It may be my fault - my dog is right at 50 pounds and he is a lunger (especially with squirrels) so perhaps I was pushing my luck with the size medium leash that is rated to 50 pounds. I thought about the size large leash (rated to 100 pounds) but that leash is only 6' long so it seems pointless to have a retractable at that length.
Anyhow, I'm happy to say that the manufacturer completely stands behind their product and happily issued a refund or store credit.
In closing, I highly recommend this leash IF your dog is more like 40 pounds or less and is not an aggressive lunger.

Nice design, but not strong enoughSep 06, 2008
By Anne M. Mckinney I loved this lead when I first got it 4 months ago. It's small, ergonomic, and just plain looks good. The nice design did not live up to its looks, though. Only 3.5 months later, my puppy (now 8 months, and 43 pounds) broke the lead.
Bottom line is that if you have a well trained dog that never pulls on the lead, this will be a fabulous product. If your dog is still learning (as mine is) how to behave properly on the lead, or if your dog pulls at all, this is probably not the best product to buy.
