As a big dog lover, I must eternally seek the toy that won't be destroyed in a matter of minutes - literally! Unfortunately big dog toys always seem to cost in the $13-15 range, so it gets quite costly. This tug seems to be the most sturdy toy I have ever handled. I don't leave it lying around for them to just randomly chew on, but trust me, it feels like it could withstand the rottie - and even the bloodhound (which actually has more destructive power than any dog I have ever seen!). I definitely recommend this tug - way better than those ropes that get shredded everywhere!!

My Lab is a chewer and always has been. That said he loves this toy while it lasts. I would assume that for a dog with normal chewing habits this toy would last a very long time. Our Tuff-Tugs usually last about a month which in our world is a long time. Yes I have purchased this same toy over and over because it is one of his favorites. We have purchased other brands that he has literally chewed through in 15 minutes so anything that can stand a month of chewing from my jaws of steel has my approval.

The biting part is too hard for my dog to get a good comfortable grip on it, so he never plays with it. He loves to play tug, just not with this toy. The other planet dog toys I've ordered have been wonderful and super durable, but this one is just abandoned in the backyard somewhere.

My dog loves to play tug so I bought this toy for her but she didn't like to play tug with it but she enjoys chewing on it (the middle part). There are handles on each end of the toy which is good for human hand but not good for dogs. Dogs' teeth has no place to grab the toy so my dog start to grab the toy from the middle section and had to play tug-o-war side way and the game usually last 5 seconds - I guess it wasn't comfortable for her...

I purchased this product, as it looked indestructible and my dog is pretty tough on things. He loves to play tug of war and at a muscular 70 or so pounds, toys don't last long. He gets manic at the sight of any toy and was really excited when I presented this to him, but after a couple of exploratory tugs, dropped it and hasn't picked it up since. 'Nuff said!
